How do I complete a background check in Starfield?
Chatting with Dalton Fiennes:
Go to the executive floor of Dragon God Industries and find Dalton Fiennes. He will provide you with the mission details. You need to infiltrate Ryujin Industries as an anonymous outsider and upload the program to Ularu’s computer.

Talk to Nicks:
If you’ve completed the Crimson Fleet faction mission, you’ll know about Nyx, the best hacker in Neon. You can find him in Madame Sauvage’s Place pub on Ebbside on Neon. Nyx will provide you with the program you need and you have three options to get it:

Pay 2,500 points.

Convince Nyx to give it to you for 1,000 points.

While you’re at Ryujin Tower, put the program on Camden Cho’s computer to help Nyx (explained later in the guide).
Sneak into the Dragon God Tower:
You cannot enter the Dragon God Tower through the front door. Exit Madame Sauvage’s Place and turn left into a deserted corridor. Finally, you’ll find the metal staircase. Climb them to reach the roof.
Access Ularu’s computer:
Make sure to equip the disruptor provided by Dalton to avoid killing anyone. Be invisible by crouching and moving slowly. It is recommended not to bring companions with you as they will attract attention.

Press the button to access the vent on the roof.

Go through the vents and rooms to avoid the guards.

Use the terminal to distract the guards with drones.

Enter Camden Joe’s office and pry the door open if necessary.

Upload Nyx programs by interacting with the terminal.

Use the vent in Camden Joe’s room to continue.
Continue through the tower: you have two options:
Reaching the back room:
No matter which route you take, your goal is the very back room, identified by the random storage boxes on the white tables. Enter the vent to reach this room.
Dealing with guards:
In a tech-oriented room, you’ll encounter a guard at the top of the stairs. You may have to use a disruptor on this guard since they won’t move.
Climb up to Uluru’s offices:
Climb up the vent, follow it, and open it to find yourself standing in a passage above a large room. Go through the catwalk and into another vent.
Visit the Wularu office:
This vent takes you near Ulalu’s office. Please be careful as there may still be patrolling guards. Drop down and enter Ulalu’s office.
Run the program:

Interact with Ularu’s terminal and run the program. Exit through the vent in the corner of her office.
Return to Knicks:
You’ll find yourself back outside the neon lights. Return to Nix’s apartment, located behind the House of Madame de Sauvage in Ebbside. Talk to Nyx and he will give you the slate.
