For example, one of the trials in Indigo Disk involves Drayton, a dragon-type specialist from the BB Elite Four. Drayton challenged fans to defeat three Blueberry Academy students in a two-on-one battle. But here’s the twist: They can only use Pokémon captured from the terrariums at Blueberry Academy.

How to beat Trial of Drayton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

To overcome Drayton’s Trial in Pokémon Crimson and Violet, follow these steps:

Know your opponent:

• Get to know Drayton’s Pokémon team. He has Dragon Focus, so be prepared for powerful Dragon moves.

Prepare your team:

• Make sure your Pokemon is at least level 68 (if not higher). Train them well to defend against Drayton’s attacks.

Get to know Drayton’s student team:

• Please note these three students – Craig, Winter, and Ray. Each one has a unique team and you will face them in consecutive battles. Here are their Pokémon:
  • Craig: Bastio Don and Lampados
  • Winter: Alola Sandslash and Dugon
  • Ray: Magnezone and Zebstrika

Build a versatile team:

• Create a diverse team that can counter the strengths of Craig, Winter, and Ray. Consider types against Dragon, Rock, Ice, Electric, and Steel.

Use a valid counter:

• Use Pokémon that have a type advantage against Team Drayton. For example:
  • Against Craig: Use a ground-type Pokémon like Layton.
  • Fight Winter: Bring a Fire Pokémon like Magma.
  • Against Rays: Again, use a Ground-type Pokémon such as Excadrill.

Make the most of your breaks:

• Use the breaks in battle to adjust your team. This allows you to tailor strategies to each student.
• Single player strategy:
  • Craig: Use ground-type moves against Bastion Oden and Lampados.
  • Winter: Take advantage of Alola Sand Slash’s 4x weakness for fire-based moves, and use electric-based moves against Dugon.
  • Ray: Ground-type moves are effective against both Magnezone and Zebstrika.

Stay flexible:

• Be persistent and adjust your strategy as needed. If your Pokémon faints, switch to a Pokémon that can handle the situation.

After trial:

• After defeating all three students, Drayton will congratulate you. You can then switch back to using Pokémon from outside the Academy’s terrarium.

Preparing for Drayton:

• Since Drayton specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon, having a well-trained Ice or Fairy-type Pokémon will give you a powerful advantage.

Advance to Elite Four:

• Once you defeat Drayton, you’ll be one step closer to facing the remaining members of the Elite Four and challenging for the Blueberry League Championship.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are games launching in 2022 on Nintendo Switch. They are the first of the ninth set of Pokémon games. These games are different because they take place in a region called Pardia, which, like the Iberian Peninsula, has a large open world.

In these games, players can complete three different stories. Scarlet and Violet showcased 110 new Pokémon, including two new varieties unique to the region, as well as some special Pokémon called Paradox Pokémon. Players can now choose if they want to fight trainers on special paths. Unlike older Pokémon games, these games feature vast open worlds where cities and wilderness are mixed together with no clear borders between each other.

You can choose your own path and do things in any order you like, which is pretty neat. There are 112 new Pokémon in these games, including newcomers like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as two legendary Pokémon, Koraidon and Miraidon, that can help you travel the world. They also gave some Pokémon new forms, such as Paradox Pokémon and “Convergent Evolution” Pokémon, which look like other Pokémon but are completely different.

You can even have your Pokémon roam the world and automatically battle other wild Pokémon! Plus, you can team up with three friends for cooperative play. One super cool thing is the Terastal thing, which makes Pokémon look crystal-like and change their type. It’s like they got special moves to match their new types, which is awesome.
